John Jack Wigley wrote an article called The Home of the Ashfall. It focuses on his experiences and observations during Mount Pinatubo's explosion. Pinatubo had been badly eroded and was no longer visible. Several thousand indigenous Aetas lived in the deep forests that covered the volcano.
